The Churchwardens of Wymondham Abbey are delighted to announce that the Revd Andrew Hammond, currently Chaplain of St John’s College, Cambridge, has accepted the Bishop of Norwich’s offer to become the next Vicar of Wymondham and Spooner Row.
We would like to convey our thanks to all involved in the appointment process. We remain very grateful to Father Christopher for all that he has done in the last 18 months under God’s guidance and protection.
Andrew’s Institution and Induction will be on 12th September. We will say farewell to Fr Christopher at our Patronal Festival on 8th September.
Andrew said: “I am looking forward to coming to Wymondham and Spooner Row with immense excitement. The combination of a magnificently beautiful church building, an energetic and welcoming congregation and a growing town all fill me with keen anticipation. I look forward to being with you and getting to know you all.”
