One of the many ways we do this is through providing baptism (christening), wedding and funeral services and supporting people as they approach these important life events, helping them to understand what they mean in the context of the Christian faith.

Baptism
At a christening your child is baptised with water. It’s the start of an amazing journey of faith for your child and a special day for all your friends and family.

Marriage
Getting married in church is personal, meaningful and spiritual, just as you want it to be. Churches are special and unique places to get married in – the prayers, promises and the whole service of celebration become part of your marriage, on the day itself and beyond.

Funerals
If someone you know and love has died, a funeral led by a Church of England minister can be held in church, in a churchyard, by a graveside, or at a crematorium. The minister will be there to support you every step of the way.
Normally, the Funeral Director will make arrangements with the clergy at the Abbey directly regarding Funeral Services.
