Wymondham Vintage Day

On Sunday 17^th September 2023, the Abbey will be open from 12:00 – 16:00. There will be hourly short tours (around 20 minutes) starting at 12,1,2,3 and 4pm. There are also three tours to the bell tower. These are at 1:30, 2:45 and 4:00. In view of the number of visitors to the Abbey on Vintage Day, we recommend pre-booking your free tours here

As well as the tours, there will be various vintage crafters in and around the Abbey. There’ll be a book binder, a spoon carver and a team of weavers, spinners and dyers. The Norfolk Museum service will be putting on demonstrations of clothes washing in Victorian times, grain grinding and using flints. You can try your hand at these to find out how hard life was in the olden days!

In addition, The East Anglian Meccano Set will have a working model railway set-up.
