Pauline Bayfield is a Norfolk artist. She finds inspiration for her paintings in the landscape and wildlife of the East Anglian countryside as well as her favourite haunts of Cornwall and The Peak District, bringing variety to her palette.

She is frequently drawn to enchanting coastal regions. Her expressive style, developing into semi-abstraction, more recently explores the dramatic contrast and harmony between land, sea and sky. Working in a variety of media, Pauline predominantly paints in acrylics, combining other media such as heavy gesso, glazes and inks to create atmosphere and texture in her work.

Her paintings evolve from a combination of sketchbook studies, memory and imagination.
