Event hire

The Abbey is available for events and can be hired by agreement. Please use the contact form at the bottom of this page if you have an event in mind.

We also have the nearby Abbey Hall in Church Street which is available for bookings.

The Hall is a pleasant and convenient community asset for the benefit of all Wymondham residents and beyond. It has a large open area with tables and chairs as required, (bouncy castles can be fitted in!) a clean and convenient kitchen with cooker, dish washer and fridge.

At the present time, we are not able to provide WiFi, projector, screen or public address system.

The Abbey Hall was built in 1971 replacing the Vicarage Rooms which had become too small and decrepit for modern 1970’s use. It was built with money raised in the community by public subscription (crowd funding in today’s parlance) and has been run by a volunteer management committee. It has been well used by many and varied groups – Tiny Talk, Weight Watchers, Scouts and Cubs, Community Choirs, Bridge Clubs, Tai Chi, Shuffle Board players and many others over the years as well as hosting a monthly Abbey Lunch, Children’s Society Quizzes and private parties.
