Wymondham Abbey has one of the longest interior space in Wymondham, which makes it ideal for displaying the unique ‘Wymondham Scroll’. This will be part of our contribution to the forthcoming Heritage Open Days.
The Scroll will be displayed from Friday 6th September through to midday Wednesday 11th. Entry is free (as it always is to the Abbey!).
Painted by local artist Patrick Boswell, the Scroll is a 164ft long watercolour of street scenes of the Medieval and Georgian heart of the market town of Wymondham. This is only the second time it will have been displayed.
Don’t forget that there are also free tours of the Abbey itself and the West tower. More details can be found on our website.
