Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture. This year it runs from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th September. Wymondham Abbey will be offering various free tours of the Abbey. Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Tours available are:
Short group guided tours of the Abbey on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September, 11am (not Sunday), 12noon, 2pm & 3pm.
Bell Tower tours Sunday 15th September 1.30pm, 2.45pm & 4pm.
Be aware that there are a lot of stairs (120 with a chance to rest after the first 90), all even and well-lit. You won’t be rushed!
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
