Welcome to Wymondham Abbey
For over 900 years people have brought their hopes and fears, joys and sorrows to this holy place where the presence of God is so tangible. We continue to welcome people from all over the world as well as from “just around the corner”. As the Anglican parish church of Wymondham the Abbey, in addition to the regular round of worship and other services, is a very popular venue for concerts and exhibitions as well as being a “living history” resource for our local schools.
Our vision is to maintain, conserve and enhance the Abbey, so that it is welcoming and accessible to everyone; that they may interpret and engage with its past, find peace and inspiration in its present and ensure its place in the community's future.
The Abbey is open every day for worship and to visitors and I hope, having visited our website, you will come and see us in person. A very warm welcome awaits you.
