Ash Wednesday 14 March
9.30am Holy Communion - a quiet service with imposition of ashes.
7.00pm - Sung Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes -This solemn and beautiful service marks the beginning of Lent.

Fridays in Lent

16th February - 23 March at 12 noon
Stations of the Cross and Lent Lunches
Meditations retrace our Lord’s steps to Calvary. Followed by a simple soup lunch in the church.

Mothering Sunday, 11 March

9.15am - Contemporary Communion - a family friendly service with posies, children’s orchestra and Simnel cake.
10.30am - Sung Eucharist - a festive service with incense, wonderful choral music, posies and Simnel cake.

SERVICES DURING HOLY WEEK

Palm Sunday, 25 March
8.00am - Holy Communion (BCP)
9.15am - Contemporary Communion - A family friendly service with activities for children, followed by procession in church grounds with donkeys.
10.30am - Sung Eucharist - with Palm Procession

Monday 26 March

7.00pm - Service of Reconciliation

Wednesday 28 March

10am - Eucharist
7.00pm Tenebrae Service with Extinguishing of the Light

Maundy Thursday, 29 March

7.00pm - Sung Eucharist of the Last Supper with the washing of the feet, stripping of the altar and Watch of the Passion. 

Good Friday, 30 March

2pm - Liturgy of Good Friday and devotions at the Cross. 

The start of our Easter celebrations!

Holy Saturday, 31 March

7.00 pm. Lighting of the new Fire and Easter Vigil ceremonies - a dynamic, exhilarating and uplifting beginning to Easter.

Easter Day, Sunday 1 April

8am - Holy Communion (BCP)
9.15am - Contemporary Communion - A family friendly service with activities for children.
10.30am - Sung Eucharist - A celebratory service with ‘bells and smells’ and wonderful music from the Abbey Choir.
6.30pm - Choral Evensong

2pm - Service for Good Friday - A reflective service.

Easter Day, Sunday 1 April

11am - Holy Communion - Join us to celebrate Easter in our beautifully decorated small church.
