Advent and Christmas

Christmas Crib at Wymondham AbbeyBelow you will find details of all our special Advent and Christmas services. Plan your Christmas now, and share your plans with friends and relatives. Come and enjoy a wonderful and memorable Christmas at Wymondham Abbey.

The Christmas services at Holy Trinity Church, Spooner Row, are listed on a separate page.

Advent Sunday 3 December 18:30 - Advent Procession

There are readings, music from the choir and advent carols. Advent means ‘to come’ or ‘awaiting’ and this service reflects this. Please join us for festive refreshments in the church after the service.

Monday 11 - Friday 15 December - Advent Spiral

Advent is the time the church sets aside for us to prepare for the mystery of Christmas. At Wymondham Abbey we offer the Advent Spiral, with its wonderful reflective atmosphere. It has proved very popular as a gentle meditation that anyone can do.

As well as the spiral, there will be a number of additional activities. More details to follow shortly. christingle1
