Ever since it was built in the 12th Century, the purpose of Wymondham Abbey has been the worship of Almighty God. We meet with each other and with God in the Abbey every day of the year. Everyone is welcome to join us.
The daily pattern of worship begins the day with Morning Prayer, and ends with Evening Prayer, with at least one Eucharist celebrated most days. We are reflecting a pattern of prayer reminding us of the central presence of God in our lives – “Bidden or not bidden, God is present” (Carl Jung).
This daily offering of praise and thanks to God in our Worship draws us together with Christians throughout the world, and equips us to serve God’s people on earth, a treasure which Christ Himself entrusted to His Church.
Daily services are complemented by special services around festival days throughout the year. Feel free to join us - you will receive a warm welcome. Occasionally the times of our services may need to change, so please check our Calendar of Services before setting out.
Further details of all our services are on the Services page.
