Wymondham Abbey Friends' Festival 2010

Saturday 25th April saw the re-instatement of the popular Annual Friends of Wymondham Abbey Festival Day.  We were delighted to welcome many members of the Friends' organisation, both old and new, as a good number of people gathered to celebrate and give thanks for the most valued and important work of the Friends.

In the morning, a Solemn Sung Eucharist was held, at which the Revd Canon Jeremy Haselock, Precentor and Vice-Dean of Norwich Cathedral, preached.  A festival buffet lunch was then held, which was greatly relished by all present.  In the afternoon, after the AGM, Fr John Barnes, Roman Catholic Parish Priest at Dereham and former vicar of Wymondham Abbey, gave a most enlightening address.

Our thanks go to all those who worked so hard to make this day a success, and we look forward to next year's event!
