The annual Duck Race returns!
On Monday 7th May, Wymondham Abbey will be hosting their annual Duck Race on the river Tiffey. This year they are also organising a repeat of last year’s successful Spring Craft Fair inside the Abbey. So now you can celebrate a fantastic Wymondham tradition and support local makers at the same time!
The Duck Race and Craft Fair will both begin at 11am, and finish around 3pm.
There will be several races, with prizes of £10, £5 and £3. So you’ve got a better chance than ever of winning a prize. There’ll be refreshments on sale, including burgers, ice cream, doughnuts and cold drinks. There will also be stalls, including cakes, books and a chocolate tombola. This is a fun event for all the family.
The Spring Craft Fair inside the Abbey will have over 25 stalls - from upholstery to a silversmith, from a felter to an illustrator. Focusing on both local and hand made, the craft fair is a celebration of all that is great about East Anglian crafts. There’ll be a raffle of high quality donated craft items. And when it all gets too much, the Abbey’s ever popular Pop Up Cafe will be able to serve you a refreshing drink and home made cake.
