Father Christopher, having gained a degree in Agriculture, bred a prize-winning herd of Holstein cattle in Hertfordshire, before training for the priesthood on the St Albans’ Ministerial Training Course. After Ordination, he then served in the parishes of All Saints Tooting, St James New Malden, and Wimbledon, before moving to Wymondham in 2006.

The Revd Dr Paul Overend

Assistant Priest

Paul was an undergraduate at Ripon, and a tenor choral scholar, before ordination. He trained at Mirfield for ordained ministry and was deaconed at York in 1993, and priested the following year. Later, whilst working as a university chaplain, he was a PhD student and taught in the philosophy department, which led to a post doctoral teaching fellowship at Liverpool Hope University, teaching philosophy, ethics and political theory in the department of theology, before teaching ministerial education to ordinands. After a post as Principal of Ordained Local Ministry, he became BA Programme Director at the Southern Theological Education and Training Scheme, eventually returning to parish ministry after testing a vocation to the Religious Life
